Since being introduced in 2022 as a special character in the BOOK GAMES collection, Koala 2025 holders have patiently awaited what might come from the NFT of our Koala friend holding a briefcase marked "2025". Well Koalas, your time has come.

VeeFriends will reward eligible Koala 2025 NFT holders the Koala 2025 Collector's Briefcase, which encases a sealed bundle of exclusive collectibles that celebrate the VeeFriends Class of 2022. Housed inside this Custom Zion Briefcase - a nod to Koala 2025's original NFT art - are seven categories of collectibles, including a custom watch, debut Manga Metals, commemorative pins, gold coins, exclusive comic book variants, and a debut super sticker. Plus, the biggest prize of them all is Koala's Series 1 Chase Case, a unique **** collectible that allows 8 lucky recipients access to redeem one of the most desired collectibles in all of VeeFriends: the Series 1 Gary Originally Owned (G.O.O.) VeeFriends NFT.

Only 499 of these briefcases have been made. All of the highly-coveted collectibles inside each briefcase were created and bundled exclusively for this release, available only to eligible Koala 2025 holders (this product is not for sale). Eligible Koala 2025 holders will be airdropped an NFT on January 14th, 2026 that they can burn (exchange) exclusively to claim their Koala 2025 Collector's Briefcase, which will ship in Q1 of 2026.

Koala's mission isn't finished however, and he's being briefed on his future missions. All Koala 2025 holders AND Series 1 Keynote Koala holders included in the Thursday, December 18th snapshot at 12PM ET, will receive the Koala 2025 Collector's Briefcase, plus two additional collectible briefcases delivered one per year in 2027 and 2028.

Following the inaugural release of collectible coins in Treasure Chest, Koala 2025 follows up with the second-ever VeeFriends coin collection, crafted in a rich gold colorway with 24K gold plating and graded Gem Proof by NGC. This premium series celebrates five VeeFriends making their coin debut, with each coin packaged in its own individual display box, ready to showcase.

Exclusive Burn Island Access for Koala 2025 Holders

Our friend Koala 2025 has made their way to Burn Island. What does this mean? As part of what's next for Burn Island, Koala 2025 holders will receive exclusive access to upcoming and future Burn Island events. In the next Eruption starting Monday, December 22nd, only Koala 2025 holders will be eligible to enter a fair-entry draw with just one Book Games token for a chance to win a Series 1 Gary Originally Owned Rare Kind Warrior NFT, currently valued at over $5,000. GOOs are a highly limited supply of VeeFriends, and will always have special significance since Gary was their original owner.

While you do not need to continue holding your Koala 2025 NFT to receive future collector's briefcases included in the December 18th snapshot, moments like this are a great example of why some holders may choose to keep theirs.

How To Claim Your Koala 2025 Briefcase

The Koala 2025 Briefcase is available for free exclusively to Koala 2025 NFT holders and Series 1 Keynote Koala holders, based on a snapshot taken on Thursday, December 18th (Base Block 39643926 / ETH Block 24040839) at approximately 12PM ET (this product is not for sale).

The Koala 2025 Briefcase NFT airdrop will happen on January 14th, with the burn-to-claim window opening at the same time. These NFTs will be airdropped to the wallet that held the Koala 2025 or Keynote Koala during the time of snapshot. Once live, holders can burn the airdropped Briefcase NFT from their VeeFriends Wallet through a Burn Island Eruption to redeem their physical Koala 2025 Collector's Briefcase.

Please note: while the claim window opens on January 14th, briefcases are scheduled to begin shipping in Q1 (Jan-Mar) of 2026. Physical briefcases will ship worldwide with shipping and duties covered by VeeFriends.

Koala 2025 briefcase NFT holders will have until December 31st, 2026 to complete the claim of their briefcase. Any unclaimed briefcases will remain with VeeFriends to use to further reward Koala 2025 NFT holders at our discretion. If you don't claim, your airdropped Koala 2025 Briefcase NFT will remain in your wallet as a digital collectible and is no longer eligible for redemption after the deadline.

Why Is The Koala 2025 Briefcase NFT being delivered in 2026?

In 2026, the annual reporting threshold for 1099-MISC increases to $2,000, which allows most collectors to receive and self-report the value of their Briefcase NFT. Recipients of Koala 2025 Briefcase NFTs are responsible for accurately reporting the value on their own taxes for the estimated MSRP value of $649.99 per token. The Koala 2025 Briefcase is not available for sale, estimated MSRP is provided for valuation purposes and calculated based on aggregating the MSRP of similar products listed by VeeFriends and collaborating brands.

Important note: If you are eligible to receive four or more Koala 2025 Briefcase NFTs, you'll be able to claim up to three before you are required to submit to VeeFriends a W-9 tax form so we can issue a 1099-MISC at the end of the 2026 tax year.

This approach keeps the experience smoother for the majority of collectors while staying fully compliant.

To unlock the Koala 2025 Discord role, you'll need:
