This new feature is set to make token-gated VeeFriends purchases more accessible and reduce the friction of verifying your eligibility in the token-gated purchase process. If you recall, earlier this year we rolled out our brand-new website profile system with innovative features such as one-time wallet connect, cold wallet connection, and profile upgrades. Today, we are pleased to take this a step further by presenting the new token-gated purchase and claim features that will elevate the VeeFriends Shop experience exponentially!

What is Token-Gating and How Does VeeFriends Use It

Token-gating is a blockchain mechanism that allows access to certain content, services, or products based on the possession of a specific digital token or asset. Users who wish to access the token-gated features need to prove ownership of the required token. This verification process is often performed through blockchain transactions, digital signatures, or other cryptographic methods.

At VeeFriends, we most often use token-gating to allow access to presales and claims on a token by token basis for product launches, Burn Island Eruptions, live streams, and more. Verify with VeeFriends was specifically innovated to support token-gating on product launches that involve gated products and claims for token holders to streamline the process. This new feature builds upon the incredible improvements we made to the VeeFriends website earlier this year, aiming for the best all around online experience for collectors and fans alike.

New Token-Gated Drops & Holder Claims Process

With Verify With VeeFriends, you will now be able to seamlessly access token-gated VeeFriends products on the VeeFriends Shop without the need for extra token-gated pages or holder claim pages. Prior to Verify with VeeFriends we used to need dedicated pages for each claim, but now you can simply add the product to your shopping cart on shop.veefriends.com and Verify with VeeFriends will take care of the rest!

Token-gated Products

For token-gated products, you can now verify your eligibility seamlessly while purchasing your product with a few simple steps. Here's how:

How to Buy Token-Gated Products

1. Head to Shop.VeeFriends.com

2. Click the "Shop Now" button on the page.

3. Find the item you wish to purchase. To help navigate the shop, use the search bar to search for your desired product.

4. On the product page, select "Verify With VeeFriends". You'll be prompted to log into your VeeFriends account and check eligibility.

5. Once eligible, add the item to your cart.

6. Go to your cart and proceed to checkout. The system will once again verify your eligibility based on your VeeFriends holdings.

7. Place your order!

Holder Claims

For holder claims, you can now claim the token-gated product on shop.veefriends.com with a few simple steps, and the best part is, it's absolutely free. The user-flow works very similar to the steps above, but there will be a separate product designated for holder claims. Here's how it works:

How to Claim (New Process!)

1. Head to Shop.VeeFriends.com

2. Click the "Shop Now" button.

3. Find the item you wish to claim. To help navigate the shop, use the search bar to search for your desired product.

4. Using our new "Verify With VeeFriends" mechanism, you'll log into your VeeFriends account and check eligibility.

5. Once eligible, add the item to your cart (Cost = $0.00).

6. Go to your cart and proceed to checkout. The system will once again verify your eligibility based on your VeeFriends holdings.

7. Place your order for free!

A Reminder About VeeFriends Profiles

For some, it may have been some time since you've logged into your VeeFriends.com account. As a reminder, 2 factor authentication has been made optional, and can be toggled on/off during the account creation process, as well as inside of your profile's settings.
