What is VeeFriends?
VeeFriends is the name of Gary Vaynerchuk's NFT collection. He created VeeFriends to bring to life his ambitions of building a community around his creative and business passions using NFT technology and their smart contract capabilities. By owning a VeeFriends Series 1 token, you receive three VeeCon Ticket NFTs airdropped for free, one per year: 2022, 2023, 2024. (note: VeeCon 2022's tickets have been airdropped already.) VeeFriends Series 2 is the follow-up to Series 1 and will offer a lower entry cost for new holders to join the VeeFriends community. Series 2 will feature existing VeeFriends characters and fifteen brand-new characters, all created by Gary.
Why NFTs?
Much like 1995 and 2005, when Gary saw a macro trend with the internet and then Web 2.0, he knew the only way he was going to understand NFTs was to actually be a part of it. Gary believes that NFTs will be here for the rest of his life. Gary intends to actively be consulting, investing, advising, and speaking about NFTs, and so he needed to have his own project to test, learn and understand everything about it. At the end of the day, Gary is a practitioner and operator. He would never speak about NFTs unless he was entrenched in how they work and involved firsthand in the process.
What's the story behind the VeeFriends characters?
The characters represent human traits that Gary most admires or is curious about. He focused on traits that he believes will lead to happiness and success. He also created characters based on popular culture references. Gary called them Friends because he believes that business with friends can be fun and you can build a community around common interests and support one another through friendship, kindness, and empathy.
What is so special about this NFT collection?
Each NFT has a specific message and meaning and provides metadata with on-chain storage of media. The premise of VeeFriends' approach is to build access, collectibility, and foster a meaningful community all while developing intellectual property. VeeFriends are all about utility and access, meaning each NFT can unlock different opportunities of access through the smart contract attached thus giving them "utility" through metadata. Will the NFTs be sold on open marketplaces?
Primary sales of VeeFriends NFTs will be on VeeFriends.com. VeeFriends tokens will appear on secondary marketplaces like OpenSea and Rarible etc. for resale purchase. VeeFriends NFTs will adhere to the ERC-721 standard. Additionally, during VeeFriends Series 2 public sale there will be two hundred and thirty-five emerald quality Series 2 VeeFriends available on OpenSea via their auction platform.
What blockchain are these NFTs minted on?
NFTs are minted on ERC-721 compliant contracts deployed to the Ethereum blockchain. This is the "gold standard" and most widely-supported format for digital collectibles.
Can I resell my VeeFriends?
Yes. VeeFriends tokens can be resold on NFT marketplaces such as OpenSea and Rarible etc. If a VeeFriends Series 1 token is resold there will be a 10% royalty fee to VeeFriends. If a VeeFriends Series 2 token is resold there will be a 6.55% royalty fee to VeeFriends.
What are you doing about the environmental impact of your NFT collection?
Gary has pledged to donate 1% of all VeeFriends royalties to charities of his choosing.
In addition, to offset the environmental impact, VeeFriends will be making contributions towards DAOs (decentralized autonomous organizations) to benefit renewable energy (such as solar, wind, etc), carbon offsets, and support ETH 2.0 Proof of Stake (PoS) development which is more energy-efficient.

What is the concept of Series 2?
VeeFriends was created with the idea that the characters will continually evolve and transform, from their personalities to their looks and attributes. Did Gary draw all the VeeFriends characters?
Gary imagined, drew, and created all 283 characters in VeeFriends. VeeFriends Series 1 artwork is the original, authentic drawings from Gary. While Series 2 artwork was developed in partnership with others.
Are all the tokens the same?
There are three categories of VeeFriends Series 1 tokens: Access, Gift, and Admission. What is the Existing Holders Launch?
Existing Series 1 VFNFT holders only may claim 10,255 Series 2 VFNFTs. No purchase is necessary, but when these Series 2 VFNFTs are claimed, existing Series 1 VFNFT holders must pay for applicable transaction fees (gas, processing, etc). You must own the VeeFriends Series 1 VFNFT when claiming the Series 2 VFNFT, and you are only able to claim a Series 2 VFNFT that aligns with your current VFNFT character.
