The debut story of Kind Warrior arrives in VeeFriends Comic Book #9 to explore reaching them with kindness instead. This first explosive chapter of this epic story follows Theo, a blacksmith who swore never to forge weapons, but now must confront a cursed sword threatening his family, his village, and the power of kindness itself.
Comic Book #9 comes in rare cover variants and sketch covers, including a base cover drawn by Eisner-nominated writer and artist Tom Scioli. Cover B (pictured on the right) is illustrated by Eisner-nominated writer and artist Tom Scioli (author of Jack Kirby: The Epic Life of the King of Comics and I Am Stan: A Graphic Biography of the Legendary Stan Lee). Scioli brings his signature style to VeeFriends after putting his unique artistic stamp on iconic series such as Fantastic Four: Grand Design and Transformers vs G.I. Joe.
Katelyn Windels (aka KateComics) graces VeeFriends comics once again with her distinctive aesthetic on Cover A (pictured on the left). This issue marks Kate's fourth cover on VeeFriends comics, following her memorable work on Comic Book #4, #6, #7, and the 2025 Topps VeeFriends Chrome Sketch Cards. Cover A further cements Kate's role as one of VeeFriends' most consistent illustrators.
