The primetime event for the VeeFriends Trading Card Game (TCG) in 2024 is less than one month away! We're excited to announce that the Official 2024 VeeFriends TCG Championship, is set to take place on the evening of Friday, October 18th in New York City. This competitive tournament will bring together VeeFriends TCG players from across the nation and beyond, all battling for the title of 2024 VeeFriends TCG Champion! Do you have what it takes to reign victorious?

2024 VeeFriends TCG Championship

The 2024 VeeFriends TCG Championship is designed for true competitors, offering intense gameplay and strategy in an exclusive, players-only **** environment. With no public admission or spectator seating, this tournament will allow participants to fully immerse themselves in the competition. Players will have the rare opportunity to compete in an intimate setting, with GaryVee in attendance alongside the VeeFriends team. Players can expect a lively atmosphere, complete with a cash bar to keep the vibes up throughout the event.

Gameplay Format: Swiss Play into Single Elimination

The Swiss pairing format is designed to give every player the chance to compete in multiple matches, while striving to land in the final 32 competitors of the tournament. This format ensures that even if you take a loss early, you'll still have opportunities to climb back up the rankings.

Here's how it works:

Swiss Play: The tournament begins with 5 rounds of Swiss play, where players are paired randomly for first round match ups. If there is an odd number of participants, one player will receive a bye (counting as a win but excluded from tiebreaker calculations). Players with the same record will face off in each subsequent match until they either win 3 games, or lose 3 games. If you win 3 out of the 5 games, you move on to the Single Elimination bracket. If you lose 3 of the 5 games, you are eliminated.

Final Chance: If there are less than 32 players who won 3 games during the Swiss Play, the players with a record of 2–3 will move on to a final chance round. Each of the remaining players will shuffle their decks and flip out their first card, with the top scores moving on (Ex: If there are 10 players with a record of 2–3, and 4 players needed for the Single Elimination, the top 4 scores move on). In the event of ties in the random flip, the next card will be flipped. This continues until you have the amount of players needed to move on to the Single Elimination.

Single Elimination: After the Swiss Play concludes, the 32 remaining players will move on to a Single Elimination bracket. The first round matchups will be randomized based on how you performed in the Swiss Play (Ex: The 8 players who went 3–0 will be randomized for seeds 1–8). After the first round matches conclude, the bracket will continue the same format until there are 2 players remaining.

Grand Finals: The championship match will feature the top 2 players who have advanced through the single elimination rounds. This final match will be a best-of-3 series to determine the 2024 VeeFriends TCG Champion!

How to Compete In the 2024 VeeFriends TCG Championship

Think you've got what it takes to claim the title and take home the championship? Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the VeeFriends TCG community, all are welcome to apply. Returning players have already been invited via email, and the Top 4 players from each of the previous sanctioned tournaments will be recognized live at the event, should they choose to compete.
