2026 VeeFriends TCG Championship Goes Down In New York City On October 9th | Prizes, Event Details

The road to the 2026 VeeFriends TCG Championship reaches its final stop in New York City next month!

On Friday, October 9th, the top 64 VeeFriends TCG competitors will gather at Lavan Midtown to battle for the title of 2026 VeeFriends TCG Champion, and an absolutely stacked lineup of major prizes awaits the top four finishers. The championship will be livestreamed on the VeeFriends channel on YouTube. The event is also open to the public, giving fans and community members the opportunity to watch the Championship unfold live.

2026 VeeFriends TCG Championship

Championship Begins: 11:00 AM ET

Player Check-In: 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM ET

Public Doors Open: 10:30 AM ET

PLEASE NOTE: Players must have their decks registered on Turnkey TCG prior to arriving at the venue.

Championship Prizes

With the Championship taking place during New York Comic Con weekend, this year's champion will take home a prize package that brings together VeeFriends TCG and the VeeFriends comic universe.

The Comic Book #1 Sealed Collector's Bundle includes:

Players who have officially qualified for the 2026 VeeFriends TCG Championship can register here:

Spectator Registration

The 2026 VeeFriends TCG Championship is open to the public. Anyone wishing to attend as a spectator must register in advance through Turnkey TCG.

PLEASE NOTE: All attendees must register through the Turnkey TCG event page to attend. Only players who have officially qualified for the Championship will be eligible to register for and participate in Championship gameplay.

Championship player registration and applications close Sunday, October 4th at 11:59 PM ET.

How To Qualify For The 2026 VeeFriends TCG Championship

The top 64 players on the VeeFriends TCG Leaderboard will qualify for the 2026 VeeFriends TCG Championship.

Any remaining open spots in the Championship field will be filled through an application process.

Submitting an application does not guarantee entry. Applications will be reviewed based on factors including overall VeeFriends TCG experience, ability to attend the Championship, deck quality, and previous tournament experience.

Players selected to fill remaining Championship spots will be contacted directly with additional event details.

For final leaderboard positions, players are ranked based on Championship Points, with strength of schedule used to determine placement when necessary.

Championship Tournament Format

The 2026 VeeFriends TCG Championship will begin with Swiss Play before moving into a Top 16 single-elimination bracket.

Swiss Play

All 64 players will compete across five rounds of Swiss play, with each round played as a best-of-three match.

Players will begin with random pairings. As the tournament progresses, competitors will be matched against players with the same or a similar record.

For example, following Round 1, players with a 1–0 record will generally be paired against other 1–0 players, while players with a 0–1 record will play others with a similar record.

After all five Swiss rounds are complete, the Top 16 players will advance to the single-elimination bracket.

Single Elimination

The Top 16 will move into the Championship's single-elimination stage.

The Round of 16 will be played as a best-of-three match. All subsequent matches will be played as best-of-three.

Lose the series, and your Championship run comes to an end.

Grand Finals

It all comes down to two players.

The Championship Final will feature the remaining competitors in a best-of-three showdown, with the winner officially crowned the 2026 VeeFriends TCG Champion!

Championship Game Time Limits

Each individual game will have a time limit based on the stage of the tournament:

Swiss Rounds: 15 minutes per game
Top Cut Rounds: 20 minutes per game
Third-Place Match: 25 minutes per game
Championship Final: 25 minutes per game

Players should familiarize themselves with the complete tournament rules before competing.

Spectator Guidelines

Spectators are welcome at the 2026 VeeFriends TCG Championship and are an important part of the competitive environment and community experience. To maintain fair play throughout the tournament, all spectators are expected to follow event guidelines while watching active matches.

Spectators may:

Watch matches from a respectful distance
Observe gameplay quietly
Move around the tournament area without disrupting matches

Spectators may not:

Distract players during gameplay
Comment on game actions or strategy
Provide coaching, guidance, reminders, or assistance
Attempt to influence the outcome of a match
Touch cards, tokens, or other game components
Point at cards or physically interfere with the play area

Spectators are also not permitted to communicate with players during an active match. If a spectator notices a potential rules issue or gameplay error, they should notify a tournament judge rather than addressing the players directly.

Tournament staff may ask spectators to move or step away from a match area if viewing areas become crowded or gameplay is being disrupted.

Photography and video recording may be permitted at the discretion of tournament organizers, provided recording does not interfere with gameplay. Flash photography should not be used near active matches, and recording devices may not be placed on or near the play surface.

Tournament judges and event staff have final authority over spectator conduct and may issue warnings, ask spectators to leave a match area, or remove individuals from the tournament floor for violations of event guidelines.

Players and spectators alike share responsibility for maintaining a respectful, competitive, and fair-play environment throughout the Championship.
