The New VeeFriends Account Experience

Starting today, we are meeting (Vee)Friends where they are, regardless of their prior knowledge of blockchain technology. By creating a VeeFriends account, you will automatically receive a non-custodial Magic.link wallet without downloading a wallet extension, setting up your wallet, or dealing with confusing secret phrases.

Additionally, all existing VeeFriends accounts will receive a "starter" non-custodial wallet in their VeeFriends Profile. In cases where a VeeFriends account lacked a linked wallet, this starter wallet will be set as the default wallet for that account. For users with existing wallets, their initial linked wallet will remain as their default. As a safety precaution, the wallet cannot be removed. This prevents accidental discarding of the wallet without saving the private key. If users choose not to use the wallet, there will be no impact on their veefriends.com experience and account.

Users can identify these new wallets by seeing "Magic" listed under the "Name" section, as seen below. While exploring your default wallet within My Profile, please ensure the rest of your profile is complete. Include your address and size information to maximize your VeeFriends experience and be ready for any potential surprises.

Congrats! You successfully created your VeeFriends account through email and received an NFT wallet as part of the sign-up process. Your wallet is part of your VeeFriends account, so there are some must-knows to protect your VeeFriends account from scams or phishing.

1. Activate Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your VeeFriends account.

We strongly recommend you follow the suggested prompts and alerts on-site to turn on MFA to ensure security best practices are being followed to keep your account safe.

2. Do not share your login information with anyone.

Your wallet is a part of your VeeFriends account. To keep it secure, make sure to keep your VeeFriends account information secure. Don't share your login information with anyone. If you suspect that your password has been compromised, change it immediately. VeeFriends support will not be able to obtain your password for you. The only way to reset your password is through the website using the "Forgot your password?" link.

3. Does VeeFriends have access to my wallet? No.
