In March of 2022, VeeFriends and Fanatics' zerocool unveiled the Series 1 Premium Trading Cards, featuring all 268 characters in their original hand-drawn form. Limited to 1,000 boxes (only 800 sold), these premium cards gained instant popularity, offering 10 cards per box mirroring VeeFriends Series 1 NFT rarity tiers. Each box includes at least one 1/1 card, alongside other limited editions, including exclusive chase cards like GaryVee autographs and "Series 2 Alpha" Sketch Cards. Highly sought-after for their rarity and desirability, the Series 1 trading cards have seen a surge in secondary market prices, with sealed boxes now exceeding $5,000. The scarcity of production, coupled with the diminishing sealed supply as collectors open boxes, contributes to the strong demand for these coveted VeeFriends collectibles.

VeeFriends Trading Card Game

Launched in April 2022, the VeeFriends Trading Card Game brings an action-packed card game experience. Also produced with Fanatics' zerocool, these boxes were an instant value-add for Series 2 NFT original minters. Each box contains 52 randomly distributed cards with various rarities. For the first time, collectors can physically interact with VeeFriends Series 2, fostering connections within the community.

The Trading Card Game centers around characters' total SCORE, which combines AURA, SKILL, and STAMINA attributes. With scores between 50 and 75 and rarity-based multipliers, players engage in head-to-head battles. The game is easy to learn and exciting to play, providing both gameplay and collectible enjoyment. When surfing through completed sales on eBay, you may notice that some items have sold via an "accepted best offer." To view the accepted offer, there is a useful tool called 130Point. This tool can be used for any item that has been sold on eBay, as the search generates the same results as eBay.

Grading and Protecting VeeFriends Cards

Now that you have your first VeeFriends Cards, there are ways to keep the cards in pristine condition by professionals and by yourself.

Grading By a Professional Service

Grading involves sending cards to third-party professionals who evaluate their condition and authenticity, assigning a score between 1 and 10. Key pillars of grading include centering, corners, surfaces, and edges. Graded cards are encapsulated in protective holders, and their condition is indicated numerically, ranging from Gem Mint to Poor. While grading is a personal choice, it can significantly impact a card's market value, desirability, and rarity.

Protecting Your Cards at Home

All VeeFriends Series 2 Trading Cards fit in a standard-sized, 20pt top loader. VeeFriends Series 1 trading cards use thicker cardstock, and while they do fit in standard penny sleeves and top loaders, a 59pt top loader is great too! There are many available brands and quantities to purchase standard top loaders, and most card shops also carry these supplies.

Another item that protects all VeeFriends cards is called semi-rigid card savers. These are hard plastic sleeves and are preferred to be sent this way by grading companies. These cases will fit all types of VeeFriends cards in penny sleeves. For protection purposes, both semi-rigid card savers and top loaders are perfect, and you could go with whichever you prefer!

For the highest level of protection, there is a hard case called a one-touch magnetic. They are very sturdy, use a magnet to hold the case together, and have corner slots to keep the card in great condition! They are more expensive, but provide great protection and display for your cards! For these, use 35pt holders, the thinnest available size.
