Introducing the Aspiring Alpaca Classic Nylon

The Classic Nylon was first introduced in 1991 and takes inspiration from Reebok's heritage silhouette with its timeless and minimalist design. By infusing the VeeFriends character Aspiring Alpaca into a brand that sits at the intersection of fitness, lifestyle, and sport, the collaboration aims to inspire individuals worldwide to embrace their aspirations.

The VeeFriends xReebok Aspiring Alpaca Classic Nylon features a nylon upper complemented by suede overlays. The VeeFriends logo graces the window box, while the tongue showcases the original Series 1 drawing of the lovable Aspiring Alpaca. Unlike the prototype sneaker, which featured yellow on the side, this pair features the iconic VeeFriends Green on the sides.

Celebrating the VeeFriends Community

For this very special collaboration, VeeFriends and Reebok were honored to highlight a few remarkable VeeFriends community members in the official promotional campaign. In fact, you just saw them star in the promotional video above! Community members Shahreen "Katz" Ahmed, Christian Robles, and Esma "Same As Me" Shmeit each exemplified the essence of Aspiring Alpaca in their own unique way.

Shahreen "Katz" Ahmed is an integral part of the VeeFriends community, known for her positivity and active involvement. As the Founder of VeeRoses, she launched the "roses" initiative, spreading positive affirmations to individuals over social media. Katz also hosts Wellness Wired Twitter spaces, focusing on the health and well-being of the greater Web3 community, and curates in-person community events for VeeFriends and World of Women, among others.

Christian Robles, a professional boxer, carries his dedication and passion for boxing with the unwavering support of the VeeFriends community. A competitor in the ring and a beacon of positivity outside of it, Robles personifies the ethos of kindness, empathy, and positivity that VeeFriends stands for.

Esma "Same As Me" Shmeit, a talented emerging rapper from Canada, gained recognition through her participation in the Gala Music event at VeeCon 2023. The experience fueled her to pursue her aspiration of becoming a rap star, and she is inspiring others to do the same and follow their dreams.

A Prototype For A Good Cause

Last year, VeeFriends partnered with Sean Wotherspoon's renowned vintage shop, Round Two, to host a raffle of 5 pairs of VeeFriends x Reebok Aspiring Alpaca Classic Nylon prototype sneakers for charity at Round Two New York City. This initiative aimed to give back to the community by donating all raffle proceeds to The Bowery Mission, a local non-profit organization that serves the underprivileged in New York City. Sean and Gary share a deep commitment to making a positive impact through their ventures and this was a perfect way to join forces and give back.
