This week at VeeFriends: BOOK GAMES began a new chapter as it officially transitioned to Base, Eisner Award–winning cartoonist Jim Rugg joined the team as Creative Producer, the 2025 VeeFriends Trading Card Game Championship was announced for Los Angeles this December, and VeeFriends released POP! Jolly Jack-O Funko and "Notorious" Ninja FriendsCaps.

BOOK GAMES moved to Base

BOOK GAMES transitioned from Immutable X (IMX) to Base after IMX sunset its legacy chain that previously housed BOOK GAMES. This shutdown permanently disabled interactions with those tokens including listing, purchases, and transfers. The future of BOOK GAMES collectibility is now supported by Base, which is fast and mobile-friendly. Collectors need to manually activate their tokens onto Base in a 1:1 re-mint on VeeFriends.com/activate for free. This quick and secure process will preserve name, artwork, traits, and all collection metadata. Collectors can also store their tokens in the VeeFriends Wallet (secured by Privy), which is the only wallet that supports burning BOOK GAMES on Burn Island.

VeeFriends Tapped Jim Rugg As Creative Producer

VeeFriends welcomed Eisner and Ignatz Award–winning cartoonist Jim Rugg as its new Creative Producer, marking a major step in the brand's commitment to storytelling expansion. Rugg, best known for Hulk: Grand Design and Street Angel, joined to help shape the future of VeeFriends Comics, animation, and brand collaborations. He shared that his mission "to make cool stuff, good comics, and new comic book readers" aligns perfectly with VeeFriends' goals. Rugg described the brand as "a chance to add more positive characters to the pop-cultural landscape of comics," a vision that reflects his passion for optimism and creativity in storytelling.

2025 VeeFriends TCG Championship Heads To L.A.

VeeFriends announced that the 2025 TCG Championship will take place on December 14, 2025, in Los Angeles. The event will be livestreamed. The top 64 competitors from the VeeFriends Play Network will battle for the title of TCG Champion. The top 32 players on the VeeFriends Play Network leaderboard as of November 30th, 2025 will automatically qualify. The remaining 32 spots are open for application, which will be reviewed on a rolling basis through November 30th, 2025, based on experience, deck quality, and participation. Players wishing to apply for entry need to complete this form, and accepted players will have 48 hours to confirm their spot. Spectators can attend the event by registering through the VeeFriends Play Network.
