BURNING BOOK GAMES TOKENS — WHAT IT MEANS AND HOW IT WORKS

Now that the BOOK GAMES have begun, the term "burning" as it relates to NFTs has been used a lot, and it may sound confusing as to what that actually means. Let's break down what "burning" NFTs actually means, how that mechanism is used in BOOK GAMES and how to track how many BOOK GAMES tokens have been burned.

What Does "Burning" an NFT Mean?

An NFT can't be deleted from the blockchain because once it has been minted it will exist on the blockchain forever, but it can be 'burned'. An NFT can be 'burned' by being sent to an inaccessible address that no one owns or has access to, and by doing so it is removed from circulation. Effectively, this NFT is removed from circulation which lowers the total token count supply in the public market and is no longer accessible.

How to Keep Track of Current BOOK GAMES Token Supply

On the VeeFriends BOOK GAMES site, there is a Burn Tracker available to view. Here you can monitor the total token supply, total tokens burned, total tokens listed for sale, as well as a "burn stats" section which breaks down the number of burned tokens by properties (Token Names, Frames, and Spectaculars).

How Burning BOOK GAMES Tokens Works

One of the gameplays available when playing BOOK GAMES is the ability to burn your BOOK GAMES Tokens on BOOK GAMES Exchange in return for another asset.

Burnt tokens 🔥 are sent to the Ethereum burn address (0x000...000). Token's burnt are gone forever and can no longer be used to play BOOK GAMES. A burn occurs when an exchange takes place on the exchange marketplace. Only successfully conducted exchanges result in your tokens being burnt.
